Swimming Association of Maldives, on Saturday, commenced the BML 44th National Swimming Competition at the swimming track in capital city Male'.
The competition kicked off with the participation of over 150 athletes and will conclude on November 23.
Nine teams are competing in the event this year.

The event features over five categories, which include Team, Junior, Senior, Master and Elite Athlete with Disabilities. Over 220 heats are scheduled for the 44th instalment.
