Yasir dismissed as CEO of Addu Hospital, Adheel appointed

Dr. Yasir, who is a senior consultant in internal medicine, was appointed as the CEO of the hospital on 4th March 2024. It is unclear as to why he was dismissed.

Dr. Ibrahim Yasir has been dismissed from his position as CEO of Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH), with State Minister at the Ministry of Education Dr. Adheel Naseer having been appointed.

Sources say that the hospital's employees have been informed of Yasir's dismissal. Adheel, who has been in the education sector for quite some time, has taken on the responsibility.

Dr. Yasir, who is a senior consultant in internal medicine, was appointed as the CEO of the hospital on 4th March 2024. It is unclear as to why he was dismissed.

Adheel was previously a principal of Sharafuddin School for many years, with him being appointed as the State Minister of the Ministry of Education in January 2024.

He has recently announced that he will run for Mayor of Addu in PNC's primaries. However, he has since taken his name out of the running.

Adheel, who has a PhD in the education sector, was the running mate for MNP's presidential candidate Mohamed Nazim in the 2023 Presidential Elections. He was also an independent candidate for South Hithadhoo during the 2019 Parliamentary Election.
