Dead body found in lagoon in Dhan'bidhoo

The body of a woman was found in the lagoon of Laamu atoll Dhanbidhoo yesterday.

Police said that they received reports of a person drifting away in the sea at 16:55 hrs yesterday. The woman was pronounced dead when taken to the Health Centre.

Police said that the deceased is a 65 year old resident of Dhan'bidhoo.

Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
